Day 4: Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom Exploration

After breakfast, begin your exploration of the legendary Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Spanning 81 hectares, this 12th-century masterpiece represents the pinnacle of Khmer architecture. Its five towers symbolize Mount Meru, and its surrounding moat represents the cosmic ocean. Continue your journey with visits to: ● South Gate of Angkor Thom ● Bayon Temple – Famous for its 54 towers adorned with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. ● Royal Enclosure ● Phimeanakas ● Elephant Terrace ● Terrace of the Leper King ● Ta Prohm – A mystical temple embraced by giant tree roots, left largely in its natural state since rediscovery. In the late afternoon, enjoy a traditional Remork (Tuk-Tuk) ride around Siem Reap, followed by a special Buddhist monk blessing ceremony for prosperity, happiness, and protection. Overnight stay in Siem Reap. Important Notes for Angkor Wat (Bakan Tower): ● Visitors must wear appropriate clothing covering shoulders and knees. ● Access requires queuing. ● Children under 12 years are not permitted to climb the tower. ● The tower remains closed on Buddhist Sabbath and religious days (approximately four days per month).
